IRB više ne koristi OpenVPN nego jedan drugi VPN klijent.

Što je VPN

VPN je kratica od Virtual Private Network. VPN se koristi za sigurno povezivanje između mreža preko inače nesigurne mreže, obično Interneta. VPN se koristi kada se nalazi izvan IRB mreže, a želi se na siguran način pristupati IRB mreži i svim resursima koji su dostupni s IRB mreže (časopisi na koje je IRB pretplaćen, licencirani softver i slično).

Tko ima pristup IRB VPN-u

Osnovni uvjet za dobivanje VPN pristupa je posjedovanje IRB korisničkog računa (AAI@EduHR računa odnosno e-mail računa na IRB-u). Nadalje, pristup IRB mreži pomoću VPN-a imaju svi djelatnici i svi vanjski suradnici sve dok im taj status ne istekne. Nije potrebno slati zahtjev za odobravanje VPN pristupa kao prije već je samo potrebno instalirati VPN paket na računalo sa kojeg se spaja na IRB mrežu.

Podržani operacijski sustavi

VPN softver možete instalirati na Windows i MacOS operativni sustav. Za Linux je klijent i konfiguracija još uvijek u izradi.

Važna napomena

Prije nego što počnete koristiti VPN obavezno barem jednom promijenite lozinku kroz naše novo sučelje za promjenu lozinke (Promjena lozinke upute)! Zaposlenici koji su koristili novi VPN a nisu promijenili lozinku kroz novo sučelje također trebaju to napraviti i nakon toga će imati tu istu novu lozinku i za AAI@EduHr račun (e-mail) i za IRB VPN.

Kako instalirati i koristiti VPN

Preduvjet za korištenje IRB VPN-a je da ste barem jednom promijenili svoju AAI@EduHr (e-mail) lozinku kroz naše novo sučelje za promjenu lozinke upute. Upute za instalaciju i korištenje VPN softvera kao i konfiguracijski i instalacijski paket nalaze se na mojoblak.irb.hr. Kliknite u izborniku lijevo gore na "Files" i onda u glavnom folderu pronađite mapu "IRB VPN".

What is a VPN

VPN is an abbreviation for Virtual Private Network. A VPN is used to establish a secure connection between networks over an otherwise insecure network, usually the Internet. A VPN is used when you are outside the IRB network and want to securely access the IRB network and all resources available from it (journals subscribed to by IRB, licensed software, and similar resources).

Who has access to the IRB VPN

The basic requirement for obtaining VPN access is having an IRB user account (an AAI@EduHR account, i.e. an IRB email account). Furthermore, access to the IRB network via VPN is available to all employees and all external collaborators as long as their status is valid. It is no longer necessary to submit a request for VPN access approval as before; you only need to install the VPN package on the computer from which you connect to the IRB network.

Supported operating systems

The VPN software can be installed on Windows and macOS operating systems. A Linux client and configuration are still under development.

Important note

Before you start using the VPN, you must change your password at least once once using our new password change interface (Password change instructions). Employees who have been using the new VPN but have not changed their password through the new interface must also do so; after that, they will have the same new password for both their AAI@EduHr account (email) and the IRB VPN.

How to install and use the VPN

A prerequisite for using the IRB VPN is that you have changed your AAI@EduHr (email) password at least once using our new password change interface, following the provided instructions. Instructions for installing and using the VPN software, as well as the configuration and installation package, can be found at mojoblak.irb.hr. Click “Files” in the upper-left menu, then in the main folder find the “IRB VPN” folder.
